She was only eight when I first met

A dancing butterfly she was, restless and playful.

I was greatly impressed at her humorous cuteness

 

She robbed off my love and blessings

And covered herself into my solemn prayers

She alone was enough to prove that the school is open

 

She was the centre into her classmates

At morning assembly, sports and culture and in the results

Everywhere she dominated the public focus

 

Her small body was growing as like a flower starts blooming

Nine years have been passed and she was ready to shine

But she bade farewell to us, all on a sudden received death

 

The news came to me as a bolt from the blue!

How can I accept that she is no more!

All my prayers, tender love and blessings for her is in vain.

I become a restless bee.

When she sings so sweet a note

I behold heart sailing a boat.

When she sits by face to face

I start restless race.

When she takes my hands with care

I dare to touch her hair.

When she stares at me for long

I become a poet of song.

You’re the dream in the realm of tranquility 

How long I've to live with uncertainty?

I’m tired, my eyes are aching 

How long you'll play the game of shaking? 

Your presence in my heart I bore

Your absence I can bear no more!

 

Oh, my sweet heart, the moon is brightly shone

How long you'll keep me alone?

Dreams and desires are flying in the sky

Why are you feeling so reserve and shy?

I'm here, my dear, the time is passing over

How long you'll take to come to lover?

Your absence, in a true sense, is a death to me

To feel the one, make no fun, I must pray to thee.

I'm wandering and seeking for you

Amid the drop of morning dew.

I'm wandering and seeking for you

Over the mountain, ocean and vast green hue.

I'm wandering and seeking you for praising

To remove pain and lonely embracing.

I'll sit on the flowing stream

For swimming, kissing and sweet embracing.

 

I'll hide the selfish world and revilers' sights

For walking alone with you and flying kites

I'll call the mountain nymphs and country girls.

To adore you with flowers and brandish pearls

I'll gather all arts to make a cottage.

To make two one with doubtless bondage.

I'll drown into the Atlantic motion

If you keep me in long separation.

 

I don't know who, exactly who are you?

Everything is nothing for only a view;

 You and you are a one, only a one…

The life of my life, the only reason of my born.

পদ্মার বুকে মাথা উঁচু করে দাঁড়িয়ে আছে বেশ
নদীর দুকূল বেঁধে নতুন স্বপ্নের বন্ধনে
জাতিস্বত্ত্বার অহংবোধে এগিয়ে যাচ্ছে দেশ
হলো মুজিবকন্যার হলো জয়
হলো জননেত্রীর হলো জয়
হলো জনগনের হলো জয়
হলো শেখ হাসিনার হলো জয়

একটি সেতু পদ্মাসেতু জাতির অহঙ্কার
ষড়যন্ত্রের মুখোশ খোলা উন্নয়নের দ্বার
জাতিরপিতার যোগ্য কন্যার সাহসী পদক্ষেপে
বীর বাঙালির বিজয়গাঁথার গল্প লিখলো বেশ
হলো মুজিবকন্যার হলো জয়
হলো জননেত্রীর হলো জয়
হলো জনগনের হলো জয়
হলো শেখ হাসিনার হলো জয়

একটি সেতু পদ্মাসেতু গর্ব, মর্যাদার
বিশ্ববাসীকে তাক লাগিয়ে খুললো স্বর্ণদ্বার
মুজিব সুস্বাবলম্বী রাষ্ট্র-দরশনে
বীর বাঙ্গালির এগিয়ে চলার ছন্দ দেখলো দেশ
হলো মুজিবকন্যার হলো জয়
হলো জননেত্রীর হলো জয়
হলো জনগনের হলো জয়
হলো শেখ হাসিনার হলো জয়

হলো বীর বাঙ্গালির হলো জয়
হলো মানসকন্যার হলো জয়
হলো বিশ্বনেতার হলো জয়
