Biography of Poet Imrul Kayes
Imrul Kayes was born on 1st
January 1979 at Magura in the parental care of Md. Sirazul Islam and Halima
Begum. He spends his childhood and boyhood in his native surroundings and left
for Khulna, the third largest city of Bangladesh in 1993 for higher education.
He has achieved his graduation and post graduation degree in English and now he holds the
position of the Principal of Islamabad Collegiate School Khulna; a college
of Khulna City Corporation.
He has been writing poems and songs since his boyhood. His eleven books, mostly poetry written in Bengali, have been published yet and his fame of a phenomenal poetic genius is well-known to all. The Verses of Tranquility which contains a total of fifty two English poems is his ninth publication. The poet deliberately deals with the theme of patriotism and love, characterized by both physical nature and eternality that exhibit a wonderful fusion of life and nature in his verses. His remarkable quality for becoming a poet is his profuse use of lyricism. Though his verses are modern in nature, they bear wonderful lyrical grace and a kind of rhythmic movement which has contributed to his poems a unique spontaneity.
The poet has an active participation with Bangladesh Television, Bangladesh Betar, Zella Shilpokala Academy, Khulna Shishu Hospital, Khulna Cultural Center, Khulna Sahitya Majlish, Magura, Family Planning Association of Bangladesh etc.

He has composed near about one thousand songs which have already tuned in Bangladesh Betar & Bangladesh Television. His songs and dramas have got much popularity among the people of both Bangladesh & West Bengal. He manages a YouTube Channel named Imrul Kayes Lyrical & a Literary Blog named Imrul Kayes Art Gallery.
His active involvement in social and cultural welfare and his work of educating the young pupils has made his literary career colorful and dignified.
At present, he is serving the nation as the Principal of Islamabad Collegiate School Khulna, an institution of Khulna City Corporation and living with a tiny happy family at Khulna city in Bangladesh.
